Top 3 Favorite Vacation Spots

                Most Favorite: Western Montana
If you want to find a clean environment with not many people, Montana is the place to visit or live. If I had to choose an area of the country, that I have visited, to live, it would be in western Montana for sure. Let me tell you a little about it. My visit was in August of 1997, just after my family and I went to Yellowstone National Park. Montana is a wonderful place. Clean, majestic, quiet, laid-back, serene, all these words describe it. The people are very friendly and were fun to talk too. You can drink straight out of mountain springs and lakes, the water is so clean. You won't have many allergy or sinus problems; I felt like a million bucks when I was there. The air is so clean there, you have to use a filter on your camera lense for the professional shoots. I saw alot of wildlife there. Everyday there was something different  to see. The weather in the summer is usually in the 70's and 80's in the day with a typical afternoon shower. At night it gets down to a comfortable 50 degress or so, perfect for sleeping. Year round the dewpoint stays low, so you'll never feel sticky. This is why it's my favorite place I've visited yet! :)

Second Most Favorite: Upper Michigan and Northern Wisconsin
Upper Michigan and northern Wisconsin are spectacular in more ways than one. I really fell in love with the area in the spring of 2000 when I went to visit my aunt and uncle in Iron Mountain. I got to tour the western U.P. since then. There's many more areas I would like to visit. It's only a four and a half/five hour drive to the area, so it's not that far for my standards. I could easily live there. The people are really friendly and the food is fabulous. The U.P. and northern Wisconsin are linked in many ways. Most places are no further than three hours away. The biggest cities are Green Bay, Iron Mountain, Ste. Saunt Marie, Escanaba, and Marquette. The western region is hilly and even mountainous with miles and miles of pine forest. The eastern part is a combination of forests, sand dunes, praries, and small lakes. Population vary between 100,000 in Green Bay to only 55 people in Copper Harbor on the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. The weather in winter is usually snowy and cold. Counties bordering Lake Superior can recieve up to 300+ inches of snow per winter due to the constant northwest wind that blows over the lake. The summer months are quite pleasant. Not to hot or cold. If it does get hot and sticky it's short lived. What I like about it is the scenery, wildlfe, the people, and the good rock hunting areas! :)

Third Most Favorite: Northern New England
I've only visted Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont once, but I really liked it when I went there in July of 1995. It was perfect weather for the vacation. My most favorite areas are the Connecticut River valley along the Vermont and New Hampshire border and Mount Desert Island in Maine. The covered bridges that I saw were really awesome I thought and I saw a few dozen. The quaint towns amongst the hills were really neat and peaceful looking. The Maine coast I really liked alot. One thing I have to say that Maine has the best Clam Chowder anywhere. I saw several whales while staying in Bar Harbor, ME along with puffins, lobsters, and bald eagles. The Mount Washington area I really liked also. I love the quiet wilderness and wildlife. If I were to live there. I would probably live along the coast in a quaint town, not to small or big. The weather while I was there was in the seventies and it only rained one day. The tides were really neat to watch throughout the day, you could almost see the water moving up and down. It's a great place! :)
