Mouse Hunt Part I

This story takes place in December of 2000. Place: My house, in the early evening of a snowy night.
If I remember right it was about nine o'clock at night and I was sitting here at my computer doing something probably not too important. I was sitting here maybe an hour when I decided to get something to eat or drink from the kitchen. As I was walking past the dining room I could see M.J. our tiger cat looking at something in the corner of the room. I stopped to take a look at what it was. Once I flipped on the light I saw what he was starring at; A mouse. A young field mouse by the looks of him. Well first I grabbed M.J. so he wouldn't attack it. Then I called my dad down here to tell him what was going on. Right as he was coming down the hall the mouse was on the move. The mouse ran then under the dining room table past Margie our black and white cat. Then the mouse stopped looked around and then ran towards me. I grabbed a box so I could get him in it. Well he jumped about a foot in the air and he completely missed the box. Finally I caught up to him in the hall. I guess he figured he better give up. Meanwhile I had shut M.J. in the bathroom to keep him out of the situation. He came out and started looking for the mouse by sniffing around the path had taken just as I was putting the little varmit outside. But that wasn't the end of the night...
About an half an hour later I was going to the kitchen again after my shower to get something, can't remember what it was for. Anyways I was walking past the dining room again and I saw two cats sitting around another corner of the dining room. I thaught to myself, "Not another mouse." Yeah it was a mouse. Probably the previous' brother or sister! This one was small like the one before. This time the cats chased a little bit more before I could get ahold of him. First the mouse went into the kitchen and ran around the area where the cupboards are; kind of in a U-Shape. Then my dad joins in the chase while my mom stays at the other end of the house. The mouse then goes back into the dining room and through to the living room. First I didn't see where he went but the cats did. I found him sitting between two boxes trying to get a rest from us all. All I did next was put the box at one end and pushed him literally into the box and put himself outside with his friend. After that I kept on checking to see if the cats would turn anything else up, but they didn't instead they walked around looking for more mice well in the morning hours.
Part II coming soon...
